Physical network and social network

Part of my Network with USB-hub
Part of my Network with USB-hub

In the network here is a thing called ‘hub’ . A hub is a very special node in a network. A Hub passes information in the right direction. A hub is a key position in a network.

Some cables are connected to the hub and the other side of this cables is empty. These cables are waiting for an apparatus to be connected. Certain parts of the network are on and off the network, my camera is one of these.  This network has loose ends to connect to passers-by.

I wonder if somewhere is a similarity between virtual networks and my physical network here. What is the hub in a  learning network?

  1. […] Physical network and social network The answer on my question in this post is a clear NO. No similarity between a computer network and learning in a connectivist network. No flow of information, but connections. By jaapsoft2, on 30 January 2011 at 08:40, under connectivism, network. Tags: #CCK11.
